What Does Frugal Mean To You?
What is Frugal to you? That’s the question that Dawn asks today over at her Frugal for Life blog and it’s not a rhetorical one, she really wants your answer.
Frugality and frugal living can mean many different things to different folks, both in a practical sense and a philosophical one. In Dawn’s case, here are some of her thoughts…
Philosophically, I want to gain the most from the least, I want to live the world around me, but take as little as possible. I overheard someone, that you don’t grow up until you shed your dependence on the items that disintegrate and hold on to the items that last a lifetime. This seems like some good words of advice or caution, depending on how you view it.
Myself, I chose frugality because of a desire to live simply and be mindful of what my impact on this world is. Also, like Thoreau, I realize that the cost of things is the amount of my life which is required to be exchanged for it and instead of exchanging my life for luxuries, I’m choosing to adventure on life and take a vacation from the humbler toils.
Head on over to Frugal for Life and let Dawn know what it means to you.

Great thoughts- Thoreau is the best for simplistic philosophy!
