Unseasonably Warm Weather? Who Am I to Complain?
I’ve been hearing lots of good-natured complaining about the weather here on the East Coast. It’s been unseasonably warm, more like a late-August day than late-October. I’m not going to complain, it’s a thrifty mom’s dream come true!
- We don’t need heat or air conditioning.
- Our son spends the day outside so we don’t have to spend money on inclement weather activities
- I can still hang clothes outside if I’d like
- The autumn harvest lasted a little longer as we just brought in the last of our tomatoes – and peppers are still growing!
- We can continue to grill our food almost every evening.
- My garden looks gorgeous!
- We enjoy evenings on our back deck instead of watching television or “keeping warm” inside the house.
I’m enjoying the warmer weather and will continue to enjoy it for as long as we have it. I won’t get into the whole climate/global warming issue right now (though it’s an important one) but I will make the best of life as it comes my way - and that means unseasonable weather.
