Tired of orange containers? Try this quick tip!
Don’t you hate it when your plastic storage containers turn orange after using them to store pasta or other tomato-y foods? Try spraying no-stick cooking spray around the inside of the container before filling it with foods. The spray prevents staining, protecting your containers and saving you money!

Great tip!
It made me think if this same tip would work on a mandoline. I just started using a mandoline for the first time ever and it’s white and carrots stain it. Would this trick work?

Marjorie,
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The cooking spray works as a barrier to protect the surface from stains. I don’t think it works only on plastic containers!
Keep me posted,

Great tip Deb! I’ve had this problem for years, couldn’t figure out how to solve it. My husband even refused to eat from these bowls because they “looked” dirty, despite what ever I said to the contrary!
