Tips for Saving Money During Summer Heat Storm
Temperatures right now are soaring and some people coined the term “heat storm”. I’ve found these very helpful tips for saving money during summer or “heat storm”.
- Thermostats should be set at the highest comfortable temperature
- Have your heating and or cooling system tuned and inspected by a service professional
- Clean or change air conditioner filters monthly
- Use fans to keep air moving

In our home, what we do is to open both airconditioning unit and an electric fan. It is cooler if the fan is blowing the cool air to you. You can then set the thermostat to a higher temperature which uses less electricity.
I’ve also invested in an aircon with timer. If I won’t be able to manually turn off the aircon, I’ll just set the time to automatically turn it off. It really saves me money.
