The Secret to Fine Dining on a Budget
If you’re like me, you like to get out once in a while. If your family is like mine, this doesn’t happen often because it’s not in the budget. If your husband is like mine, the chances of him opening his wallet to eat in a fancy restaurant are slim to none. Still, I’m not one to stay in every night, even if we are on a budget. Fortunately, there are options.
Small newspapers, shopper’s guides and Pennysavers are great for looking for restaurant bargains. Many of the advertisements will list specials or coupons such as two for one deals or half price on certain entrees. Sometimes there’s a catch, but it’s never anything you can’t handle. For instance a coupon for a steak dinner might only be good Monday through Thursday between the hours of five and seven. Many coupons or discounts are for specific meals, but if you want to save money, this won’t be a problem. .
We don’t go out often, and it’s rare we dine somewhere crayons don’t come with the placemats, but we don’t mind planning our nights out around coupons and specials, especially when we consider the alternative is to stay in.
