The Red Paperclip Guy Gets a Year’s Free Rent
You may recall my telling you of the Red Paperclip Guy back in February (see here). Kyle MacDonald is a Canadian who started out with a red paperclip last July and is in the process of bartering his way to a house.
Well, Kyle kind of got his house last week. In his most recent trade, he swapped the recording contract for one year’s free rent in Phoenix, Arizona. The place is a 1 br apartment in a house right downtown and the deal also includes roundtrip airfare for two from any major airport in North America to Phoenix and some tickets to a Diamondbacks game.
Anyone care to guess how many trades you think he might be from getting his actual house?
Here is the post with the details of the trade at the Red Paperclip blog.

The other thing that is interesting about that guy is he does not have a job, on purpose. He sells stuff that people send him on ebay (offering free shipping-which I have never understood). Its all very strange.
