Reuse Window Covering

I saw this photo while searching for something else, but it struck me so I saved it. I used to have these old thrift store bottles that I placed in windows with flowers and such, but I really like this idea above.
If you have the means, say, you can add some planks to your window, and like wine, you could go with a look like this as a window covering. It’s more unique than curtains, still blocks people somewhat from peeping in, and likely creates lovely wall patterns during sunny moments. If you don’t love wine, you can find all sorts of beautiful glass bottles at thrift stores and antique shops. A nice inexpensive cover for the right window. Maybe tough to dust though, but I’d still do it.
What do you think?

This isn’t about windows, but the wine bottles prompted me to comment. My aunt and uncle use the bottles upside down as a border for flower beds. Drinking the wine is much more of an enjoyable price than what you pay at garden stores for boring brick or plastic borders!

I think this is really neat! I always check out our local goodwill for different china and bottles, etc. I’m a sucker for it.
I guess I justify the addiction by saying that at least I’m not blowing much money on it lol. I could always be addicted to Prada instead of mismatched china!

DramaMama - that is an awesome idea. I love it. I’ve seen recycled glass used lots in garden settings, but not like that.
Connie - I like to find old mugs at thrift stores; I’m a big coffee drinker, and some of the old school pottery mugs are really cheap at thrift stores.
