Pennies for Your Eggs?
If you’re like me you have a big jar of pennies on a shelf in your home. Our pennies are in the garage in a huge gallon jug. We’re going to roll them up soon and take them to the bank, but my sister Dawn gave me another great idea.
Sunday is Easter. Easter means candy. My son got candy from school, candy from his enrichment class, and I have it on good authority he’s getting some candy from the Easter bunny. Every year at my sister’s house we have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Yup, more candy. Except my sister had another idea.
Dawn thought instead of filling all the eggs with candy, we can use up some of the pennies she has in her penny jar. The kids get something for their piggy banks, and hopefully save up and they’re not eating as much candy.
I can’t complain.

This is a great idea! Princess is obsessed with money right now, so she’d be thrilled.
I try to limit the candy orgy too. . .

You could do music gift cards for the older set.
