More Proof Life’s Good Things Don’t Cost a Dime
I’m working from my back deck today. It’s 70 degrees and though it’s supposed to rain later, currently there’s not a cloud in the sky. In about five minutes I’m going to pick my son up from his class, come home and we’ll share a snack on our outside table. Then I’ll work a little more while he plays in the backyard with the dog.
As I write this I feel so content. You can’t buy this feeling. The things that make a day perfect have nothing to do with credit cards or dollar bills. The good things in life really don’t cost a dime.

Part of the irony is that you are experiencing this great feeling and not only is not costing you a dime, it’s actually saving you money. By working at home, you save a lot on costs related to childcare, commuting, and so on.

I love that feeling, when you’re just enjoying the moment as it is and not worrying about the future or regretting the past. I’ve been getting that feeling a lot lately. Funny how the less I spend, and the less I try to do at a given time, the more I content I feel.

What a nice contrast to the recent “Blogging Can Kill” article we’ve seen in the NY Times. There is definitely an up side to blogging!

Finding something good in every moment is Free!! Though for some personality types it can be a challenge, I believe with practice it becomes easier.

I love those beautiful weather days. It was so nice this weekend. And yet, today and tomorrow are supposed to be cold here. Alabama weather. It can never make up it’s mind.

I’m just catching up on our blog. I did something similar on that beautiful day. I filled my backpack with stuff to proofread and research, snacks and drinks, and walked up to my boys’ school to pick them up.
I sat at a picnic bench and got some work done while the boys stayed on the school playground for over two hours and played.
It was the perfect work outside day.

Nice reminder. The warm weather in spring can do that!

This is such a sweet post. Today I was wondering if I should bother with a beach pass this year with gas prices etc. We have a pool & I was thinking it might be a lot more fun to lounge around with the kids in the pool then worrying about coming up with money to pay for gas & other things. Your post helped make me believe I am going in the right direction :)
