Let’s Get Knotty
I was once quite good at knots. Back in my Boy Scout days, I could sling a mean Sheepshank or Alpine Butterfly. Then I went and followed the Grateful Dead around in my early twenties and among the casualties of my memory banks were my knotting skills. Luckily I discovered this cool web site.
Animated Knots by Grog is great resource that offers, as you might guess, animations that depict the steps in achieving a myriad of different knots. The animations can be slowed down, run backwards or frame by frame and for those peculiar left-handed folks like myself, there’s a flip and rotate feature.
There are 75 different knot animations available, broken down into categories like Boating, Fishing, Scouting, etc. Definitely a site to be bookmarked.
