If Time is Good, Price is Better

by Noel on September 13th, 2006

time is moneyHow many times have you heard that you should buy an AC unit or even a big-ticket item such as a house during winter? How about buying Christmas trees right after the Holidays? Quite a dozen of times already?

I don’t get tired of these bits of advice from experienced consumers. They never fail to remind me of how well people still practice practicality especially now that everything seems to come with a hefty price tag.

Now if you are another el cheapo or a bargain hunter like me, you’d definitely appreciate that there’s actually an insightful writeup on when is the best time to buy life’s usual commodities.

From thoughtful gift cards, your future wedding dress, your favorite wine, airplane tickets, appliances, baby clothes to even a roll of wrapping paper! you’d be amazed that the old adage ‘there’s time for everything.’ still rings true, especially if you’re on a budget.

Of course each best buy time is not without an explanation such as it is best if you buy gas early morning or late evening on a weekday because gas stations change their prices between 10 a.m. and noon. Buying gas on the weekends is bad because gas stations try to earn more from leisure travelers during weekends.

Cool, eh? Read more of these tips on when it is great to buy what from SmartMoney.
