DIY iPod

So, you’ve got a teenager in the house and they’re bugging you to get them one of those fancy uber-cool iPods. Being the frugal and thrifty soul that you are though, you can’t bear to spend that kind of coin on a glorified Walkman, especially when the kid refuses to use the old cassette Walkman that you still actually have.
I say make them one of these. Sure, they’ll think you’re lame, but come on, they already think you’re lame, what’s the harm? Just imagine the look on their face when you give it to them.

Oh, that is too funny!
IMHO, Ipod has too many bells and whistles, anyway. If you keep your eye open you can get a very simple MP3 player for less than $40 on sale. (I actually found one for $20!) Sure, all it does is load about an hour of music–but isn’t that what they’re supposed to be for, after all?

LOL!!! The funny thing is if I challenged my iPod-less teenager to invent his own, it would look just like this one! LOL :D

Ironically, my foster daughter came home from winter camp yesterday, and I guess one of her cabin mates had an iPod. She’s told me a few times today already that she wants one for Christmas or her birthday. I haven’t shown her this post yet. ;)
