Cyclone Washmate II - Portable Laundry

by Kevin Humphrey on February 16th, 2006

Cyclone Washmate II - Portable LaundryThis looks like a cool little appliance, whether you’re cruising in the RV or penny-pinching in the dorm. The Cyclone Washmate II is billed as the world’s most compact washing machine and at no bigger than an oversized water bucket, features take-it-anywhere portability.

The unit measures in at a diminutive 16″ x 13″ x 13″ and weighs just 9.5 pounds. The canister has a seven liter capacity. A few clothes, four liters of water and 15 minutes on the timer is all it takes to wash a load.

Unfortunately, it looks as though the rinse and spin cycles aren’t part of the package, so in reality, this device is just a quick step up from the bucket and washboard routine, but better than nothing. If I were still a single bloke, I think I’d find something like this quite sufficient.

It’s available from GadgetUniverse for $69.95 US and you’ll find more details on the product page here.

$70 for a 4 liter agitator? I do not think thats a very good deal, but at least someone is trying.

Dale - It’s got a 7 liter capacity…it’ll take a load of clothes and then 4 liters of water.
