Check out the “Open Box” items at Best Buy

by Noel on August 6th, 2006

One good tip when you are going to buy stuff at Best Buy is to check if there are “returns” on the item you are looking for (say an ipod). Some people return recently purchased items because they found minor scratches, or they decided to buy the high end item, or probably because it is not the right color. These are generally called “Open Box” items.

Open box items are marked down and it usually carry the same warranty as a new item. Sometimes these open box items miss one insignificant item such as a driver CD (which you can download from the internet), a missing lens cap for SLR cameras, or a missing earphone for mp3 players.

You can get significant discounts. All you have to do is to ask the store sales people.
