Basil - Natural Insect Repellant
Did you know that Basil is a natural insect repellant?
Now, I don’t suggest you rub it on your skin. However, it may be a good idea to put a pot of basil beside the trash bin, or kitchen table.
You can also take a few leaves along with you on a picnic and put them out on the table to keep the flies away.
I was also thinking of boiling it with water and put it in a spray bottle and use it as a replacement for off lotion. But I think that’s too much. Add a little oil and garlic and I could become a pesto sauce.

In my dad’s farm, we have a few basil plants. I can’t seem to recall seeing flys or mosquitoes near it.
I’m already tempted to buy some basil the next time I go to the supermarket :-)
