It’s been going down to the 40’s at night here in the Northeast. While we’re not quite ready to turn on the heat, it’s a reminder that the cold weather will soon be upon us. Whether it’s weather proofing your home or cozying up to your honey, Simply Thrifty is pleased to present you with a list of

50 Things You Can Do to Stay Warm This Autumn

  1. Snuggle up to your honey
  2. Crochet a sweater
  3. Install a wood stove
  4. Invest in a few space heaters
  5. Take a long, hot bubble bath
  6. Install energy efficient windows
  7. Knit a hat
  8. Close the doors to rooms you’re not using
  9. Make a denim jacket
  10. Install weather stripping
  11. Install a gas fireplace
  12. Whip up a batch of mulled wine
  13. Check your furnace’s filter
  14. Wrap yourself in an afghan
  15. Make sure your house is properly insulated
  16. Take some exercise videos out of the library
  17. Open all the window shades and let the sun shine in
  18. Make a sheepskin coat
  19. Make some hot chocolate
  20. Bake some cookies
  21. Wear your flannel pajamas
