Today’s Freecycle Finds

There’s some good freecycling going on in my area today, here are some of the highlights:

 Toddler bed
 French doors
Weight bench with weights

Really, folks. Free stuff doesn’t get any better than this.

So it’s time for some refrigerator shopping. This […]

Teacher’s Gifts

Preschool ended today which means everyone brought in elaborately packaged gift cards and presents for the teachers. I know many moms who gave spa days and gift cards for salons and department stores. I know of others who gave mugs or jewelry. I baked zucchini bread.

Who Knew Angelina Jolie was so Frugal?

Angelina Jolie got her thrifty on at the premiere of “A Mighty Heart.” The $26 dress was purchased at Los Angeles’ Wasteland thrift store.

Please Forgive the Silence

Please forgive the lack of blog posts these past few days. I won’t bore you with too many details, but will leave you with this bit of advice….never let your husband use your laptop (computer that is.).

Free Bamboo!

No, not for you, for me! My husband and I have been planting trees here and there around our property for privacy and shade. Little seedlings take long to grow, however, and bigger trees are expensive. The other day, one of my neighbors had a sign up in front of his property: Free Bamboo […]
